All About Us

Longhoughton Rangers Youth Football Club is an inclusive FA Charter Standard Development Club which caters for boys and girls aged 6-15 (school years 2-10). We currently have 180 boys and girls supported by 26 FA qualified coaches. Our teams compete in the NABC boys 11 a-side league, the Glendale small-sided League and the Girls Rural Fives League. The teams are managed and coached by 22 FA qualified coaches who are all CRB checked through the FA.

Our Club is based in Longhoughton, 4 miles east of Alnwick, on the beautiful Northumberland coast. We play and train on the village pitch, off of Crowlea Road (postcode NE66 3AN), though we also utilise Lindisfarne Sports Hall in Alnwick and RAF Boulmer (courtesy of the Station Commander) for winter training.

Longhoughton Rangers was recently awarded the FA’s North of England Charter Standard Club of the Year 2007 in recognition of our high standards of coaching, administration and child welfare in addition to our contribution to the community as a whole.

Our Club has only been able to make such rapid progress with the support of our generous sponsors, representing a diverse group of local and national businesses backed up by grants from The Football Foundation, the Lottery Awards for All and the Alnwick and District Sports Council. We also acknowledge our friends at Longhoughton Parish Council, the Longhoughton Village Development Trust and RAF Boulmer who have provided outstanding support throughout the Club’s history.
